Description

New 40ft High Cube One-Trip Tunnel Container

This new 40ft high cube one-trip tunnel container combines additional interior height with full cargo doors at both ends, providing a versatile storage solution with convenient dual-end access.

Also known as a double-door container, the tunnel configuration allows stored goods, equipment, and materials to be accessed from either end. This can make loading, unloading, inventory organization, and retrieval more convenient than with a conventional container that has doors at only one end.

The high cube design provides approximately 9’6″ of exterior height and approximately 2,685 cubic feet of interior space, making it suitable for commercial inventory, equipment, construction materials, palletized goods, and other storage applications requiring additional vertical clearance.

Key Features

  • New 40ft high cube one-trip container
  • Full cargo doors at both ends
  • Approximately 9’6″ exterior height
  • Approximately 8’10” interior height
  • Approximately 2,685 cubic feet of interior capacity
  • Durable Cor-ten steel construction
  • 28mm marine-grade plywood flooring
  • Steel locking bars and secure door hardware at both ends
  • Ventilation openings for passive airflow
  • Forklift pockets for handling and positioning
  • Suitable for commercial, industrial, construction, and general storage applications

Dual-End Tunnel Design

The defining feature of this container is its full set of cargo doors at both ends.

Unlike a conventional shipping container with doors at only one end, the tunnel configuration allows goods and equipment to be accessed from either side. This can make inventory management easier and reduce the need to move items positioned near one end of the container to reach goods stored farther inside.

The dual-end configuration is particularly useful for palletized inventory, equipment, construction materials, tools, and other goods that require frequent access.

The interior can also be organized into separate storage areas where access from opposite ends is beneficial.

High Cube Design

The high cube configuration provides approximately one foot of additional exterior height compared with a standard-height 40ft container.

With approximately 8’10” of interior height, the additional vertical clearance provides more room for tall equipment, stacked inventory, shelving systems, palletized goods, and other items requiring additional headroom.

The container provides approximately 2,685 cubic feet of interior capacity while maintaining a standard 40ft by 8ft footprint.

Construction & Interior

The container is constructed from durable Cor-ten steel with corrugated steel walls and a reinforced structural frame.

The interior features approximately 28mm marine-grade plywood flooring supported by steel cross-members, providing a practical surface for equipment, inventory, tools, machinery, building materials, and palletized goods.

Both sets of cargo doors are fitted with steel locking bars and secure door hardware. Ventilation openings provide passive airflow through the container.
