Description
20ft Insulated Shipping Container
This 20ft insulated shipping container provides additional thermal protection compared with a standard dry shipping container.
Insulation within the container helps reduce heat transfer between the interior and exterior environment, making the container useful for storage and other applications where reducing exposure to outside temperature changes is beneficial.
This is a passively insulated container and does not include an active refrigeration or cooling system. It should not be considered a substitute for a refrigerated container when precise or continuously controlled temperatures are required.
Key Features
- 20ft shipping container configuration
- Insulated interior
- Passive thermal protection
- No active refrigeration system
- No external power required for the insulation
- Double cargo doors at one end
- Durable steel construction
- Suitable for storage and selected commercial applications
Insulated Design
The insulated construction helps reduce the rate of heat transfer through the container walls, roof and other insulated surfaces.
Unlike a refrigerated container, an insulated container does not actively cool or heat its contents. Interior temperatures can therefore change over time depending on external conditions, duration of storage, frequency of door opening and other factors.
Approximate Dimensions
- External Length: 20ft
- External Width: 8ft
- External Height: approximately 8ft 6in
Interior dimensions can vary depending on the thickness and configuration of the insulation installed in the individual container.
Please contact Y-Containers if your intended application requires specific internal dimensions or other technical specifications.
Suitable Uses
An insulated container may be suitable for applications including:
- General commercial storage
- Equipment and material storage
- Goods requiring additional protection from external temperature changes
- Agricultural applications
- Selected industrial storage
- Modification and conversion projects
Customers storing temperature-sensitive products should determine whether passive insulation provides adequate protection for their particular goods and operating conditions.
For applications requiring precise temperature control or active cooling, a refrigerated container may be more appropriate.
For current availability, condition details, insulation configuration, delivery information or questions about this container, please contact Y-Containers before ordering.
