At Y-Containers, we’re committed to delivering your shipping containers—including our Tiny House Capsules—efficiently and reliably across the USA. This Shipping Policy outlines our processing, delivery, and related terms to ensure a smooth experience. By placing an order, you agree to these terms, which comply with applicable U.S. laws.
1. Order Processing
- Processing Time: Orders are processed within 2–3 business days after payment clears (excluding weekends and U.S. federal holidays).
- Payment Confirmation: Credit/debit card payments are instant; bank transfers may take 3–5 business days to clear, delaying processing.
- Custom Orders: Orders with modifications (e.g., Tiny House Capsules) may require additional processing time, which we’ll communicate at checkout.
Once processed, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking details (if applicable) and an estimated delivery date.
2. Delivery Time
- Standard Delivery: Shipping takes 5–7 business days from the date of processing, depending on your location in the USA.
- Custom Orders: Modified containers may take longer due to production; we’ll provide an updated timeline upon order confirmation.
- Delays: Weather, holidays, or unforeseen events may extend delivery times. We’ll notify you promptly if delays occur, per FTC guidelines.
Note: Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees, though we strive to meet them.
3. Shipping Locations
- We ship to all 50 U.S. states, including Alaska and Hawaii, though additional fees and extended delivery times may apply to remote areas.
- We do not ship to P.O. boxes due to the size and weight of containers.
4. Shipping Costs
- Rates: Delivery fees range from $100–$500, based on distance from our nearest distribution center and container size (e.g., 20-foot or 40-foot). Exact costs are calculated at checkout.
- Additional Fees: Remote areas, difficult access (e.g., narrow roads), or special equipment (e.g., cranes) may incur extra charges. We’ll notify you in advance.
- Taxes: State and local sales taxes apply based on your delivery address, as required by U.S. law.
- Free Shipping Options: We reward larger orders with complimentary shipping. All orders that meet or exceed the $15,000 threshold will have their standard shipping fees completely waived. This applies to our standard delivery service within the country.
5. Site Preparation and Delivery Requirements
- Space: Ensure 60’ (20-foot) or 100’ (40-foot) of clearance for a tilt-bed truck, plus 14’–16’ overhead clearance.
- Surface: A level foundation (gravel, concrete, or asphalt) is required to prevent structural damage.
- Access: You’re responsible for ensuring the delivery site is accessible. Failed deliveries due to site issues may incur a $150 redelivery fee.

6. Delivery Process
- Scheduling: We’ll contact you to confirm a delivery window within the 5–7 day timeframe.
- Signature: Someone must be present to sign for the container and inspect it upon arrival.
- Inspection: Check for damage or discrepancies before signing. Report issues within 7 days to info@y-containers.com.
Title transfers to you upon delivery and acceptance, per U.S. Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) standards.
7. Shipping Carriers
- We partner with trusted U.S.-based freight carriers to ensure safe transport.
- Tracking is provided where available; some rural deliveries may not include real-time updates.
8. Lost or Damaged Shipments
- Lost Shipments: If your container doesn’t arrive within 10 business days of the estimated delivery date, contact us at info@y-containers.com. We’ll investigate and resolve it per FTC rules.
- Damaged Goods: Inspect your container upon delivery. Report damage within 7 days with photos to info@y-containers.com for a replacement, repair, or refund, at our discretion.
9. Cancellations and Changes
- Before Processing: Cancel within 24 hours of ordering for a full refund (minus a $50 fee). After processing begins (2–3 days), a 10% restocking fee applies.
- After Shipment: No cancellations or address changes are possible once the container ships.
- Custom Orders: Deposits for modified containers (e.g., Tiny House Capsules) are non-refundable once processing starts.
10. Compliance with U.S. Laws
- We adhere to Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines for shipping, ensuring accurate delivery estimates and prompt notifications of delays.
- Shipping terms align with the U.S. Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) for goods transfer and risk of loss.

We may update this Shipping Policy to reflect changes in our practices or U.S. regulations. The latest version will be posted on our website with an updated effective date.
